In this talk, I will present the current Status Quo of Generation techniques. After that, I will explain our approach to generate content and from that a complete world. I will give a quick overview of the necessary steps to create a world, then talk about one module in detail: Our ecosystem distribution. This will show, how we use ecosystems as templates for our designers, how we can easily extend such an template to generate new, familiar biomes or more variations in our world. After that, I will show how we extend these ecosystem templates to drive secondary systems, like illumination, effects and sound.
